KITCHEN EVENING

TENDERED AT HIKUTAIA

TO MR MORRISON AND FIANCEE

A very jolly surprise party was tendered at Hikutaia to Miss Vai Alley and Mr Jim Morrison on the eve of their wedding by a large number of friends and relations at the home of Mrs P. Alley, mother of the bride-to-be.

The evening was a kitchen and pantry gift one, and a number of useful and pretty gifts was received. ' Competitions, games and music were thoroughly enjoyed by all present and supper time, which was well provided for by the ladies, came all too soon.

After supper Mr 18. Kelly, on behalf of those present asked the guests ofhonour to accept the gifts, together with all their very best wishes for the future.

After the happy couple, assisted by Miss Helen Innis, had unpacked the parteels Mr Morrison thanked everyone for their gifts, all of which he knew they would find very useful, also he thanked everyone for the evening which he and Vai greatly appreciated and would always l remember with great pleasure.

Dainty shoulder sprays, gifts from members of the hockey team, of which Miss Alley is a member, were presented to Miss Alley and her mother by Miss Helen Innis and Miss Neon McCollum.

Music was provided by Miss I. ’Smith and Messrs E. and F. Smith.
