SURPRISE PARTY
TO WHITIANGA RESIDENT
MR F. BROPHY’S BIRTHDAY
Mr F. Brophy of Whitianga was the very happy host on Monday evening when a number of friends arrived with a carefully planned surprise party to wish him a very happy birthday.
The evening was spent with music played by Mrs 'L. Rose on her piano accordion and popular choruses and dancing. Mrs Brophy, who was in the secret, served a delightful sup-
per. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs/F. Brophy, Mr and Mrs L. Rose, Mr and Mrs H. iStocker, Mr and Mrs !F. Baldwin, Mr and Mrs A. J. T. Simpson, Mr and Mrs Rollo Smith, Mrs R. ‘Sewell, Miss P. Hamilton, Miss G. Sewell and Miss C. Brophy.
