SHORT OF STAFF
COUNCIL WORKMEN
TIME OF UNUSUAL STRESS
POSITION IN OHINEMURI The staffing position insofar as it concerns the outside workers for the Ohinemuri County Council is very bad. This, information is contained in the report of the county engineer, Mr L. E. Shaw, to the council which was received on July 9. The report says:—
'“ At a time like the present when extra hands are required, the staff position at this end of the county is acute. We are without a foreman, a certificated quarryman, and two weeks ago the mechanic had the misfortune to break his arm, and will be off work for some time. Since then, the only truck-driver on the job has resigned.
(During the storm, the late foreman offered his' services for the necessary attention to the water supgetting the services restored, as all plies. He has done excellent work in the men and myself had to be at the Waihi end of the county. His services are very much appreciated.”
