MENTION IN DESPATCHES
PERSONNEL FROM DISTRICT
Six servicemen from Paeroa, Hauraki Plains and the Coroman'del Peninsula are among the 478 army officers and' other ranks who are included in a list of 2nd N.Z.EF. personnel who have been mentioned in despatches for gallant or distinguished service in . the Mediterranean theatre. They are:—
Major Seymour W. Parfitt, Pipiroa, Hauraki Plains. Second-Lieutenant Robert W. z Wayne, Maramarua. Sergeant Ronald M. Mules, Turua, Hauraki Plains. Lieutenant D. G. Powell, Paeroa. Trooper Irwin Brophy, Box 72, Whitianga. Private D’. S. Moloney, Paeroa.
