Horse Jumps Car
' Some excitement was caused when the Maramarua hunt met at Tirohia on Wednesday by’ Ma- Harvey Evans’ “ Old Mac,” -ridden by a lad, Jimmy Burgess. The horse took fright and bolted, jumping an empty car parked in the p'addoek. The car was in no way damaged, the horse in its leap entirely clearing the vehicle. . Service Appreciated
Appreciation of the services rendered by Mr F. ;S. R. Kent, who has resigned after two years as clerk to the Hauraki United Drainage Board, was expressed at the June meeting of the board and it was agreed to grant him .one .month’s leave on full pay.
