HOCKEY IN PAEROA
MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE
FIRST GAMES ARRANGED At a meeting of the Paeroa Ladies’ Hockey Association held on Monday evening and presided over by Mr F. Craig, the following were present: — Mesdames 1 'C. Murdock, V. Alley, M. Morrison (Hikutaia), Miss P. Handley and the secretary, Mrs C. Handley. It was decided to hold the first game between Hikutaia and 'Paeroa on the Paeroa Domain on Saturday May 18, begining at 1.30’ p.m. sharp.
The following colours wee approved:—Hikutaia, m'aroon; Paeroa, gold. It was decided to enter teams in the Hamilton Seven-a-side tournament on June 3. The following teams were, invited to visit Paeroa and play representative games': —Auckland', Hamilton, Te Aroha and Hauraki Plains. It was decided that the club competition consist of a series of five games, which will commence on May 25. Mr L. 'Bogue was appointed sole selector for the Paeroa Association.
