WOMEN’S DIVISION

HUIRAU ROAiD branch MRS T. D. LOWE* ENTERTAINS The May meeting of the Huirau road branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held at the resident of Mrs T. D. Lowe. Mrs G. Scott presided over a good attendance. The winners of the competitions were Mesdames Treadaway and Hamerten. The best bloom was won by Mrs T. Lowe. 'Mrs W. M'aunder kindly agreed to give a demonstration of smocking at the next meeting. The wandering shilling was. won by Mrs T'readaway. The hostess served a dainty afternoon tea after Which the meeting closed.
