OMAHU CLEARING SALE MR W. H. BROWN’S HERD The N.Z. Loan & Mercantile Agency Company report a very successful sale on Friday on account of Mr W. H. Brown, Omahu, who has given up dairying. The herd came forward in excellent condition, and competition was keen throughout, resulting in a total clearance. The top cow of the herd changed hands at £2l, Mr Geo. Long, Puriri, being the purchaser. Several others changed hands at £<2o. Quotes: —Gbod .young sound cows from <£lB to £2l; 2nd. and 3rd cal vers, sound, from £l2/107'0 to £147'10/0; 4th. and sth. calvers from £lO to £l2; backward from £8 to £9/1070; heifers £9; calves £3/276; cows in milk, £7 to £ll/10/0.
