Reported from Melbourne that a new chum employed as a rousabout on a big up-country station accidentally swallowed some sheep dip—with fatal results. The dip, it was shown at the inquest, contained a quantity of nicotine. iHence the tragedy! Of course, as most people know, nicotine is a deadly poison. And yet smokers innumerable are (often without realising it) constantly exposing themselves to needless risk by smoking tobacco loaded with nicotine. Of course, when consumed in the pipe bad tobacco acts comparatively slow. But ‘“it gets there all the same/’ and its habitual use may be attended with disastrous results. Be on the safe side and use “toasted.” The toasting this famous tobacco gets at the factory frees it to a large extent from nicotine, and this renders it practically harmless. As for flavour and aroma, toasted —the genuine toasted; —stand's absolutely alone. There is no tobacco to compare with it. Ask for Cut Plug No. 10 (ißullshead), Navy Cut No. 3 (Bulld'og), Cavendish, Riverhead Gold or Desert Gok£ and tailormades. All toasted!
