FIRST DANCE

YOUNG FARMER'S’ GRUB EVENING HELD AT N'GATEA The first dance of the recently formed Ngatea Young Farmers’ Club was held in t'he N'gatea Hall on Thursday, March 14. The duties, of M.C. were very efficiently carried out by Mr D. Flint, a member of the club. The music was supplied by “The Rythm Ramblers” of Kerepeehi. This being the first attempt at social activities by the club, it proved 1 a great success. The winners of Monte Carlos were: Miss P'. Waugh and Mr D. Bryant, Miss N. Cole and Mr T. Douglas, Miss E. Chapman andi Mr Brokenshire. The winner of lucky door ticket was Mr M. Cleary. A member of the advisory committee, Mr A. Cole, spoke briefly on the aims and objects of the club and the benefit derived by the members. An excellent supper was served by the Club’s Social Committee.
