•PAE RO A ASSO CIATION GARDEN PARTY AT SCHOOL The March meeting of the committee of the Paeroa Parents-Teachers Association was held in the Primary Department, Mr G. M. Ruscoe presiding in the absence of Mrs S. Wheeler. lOthers present were Mesdames R. L. Darley, W. Tubman, A. Whisker, C. Webb, H. Saunders, J. Woofe, R. Clark, J. C. Cuff, C. Gleadow, Misses K. Tarrant, Messrs Callaway and Meyer., Apologies were received from Mesdames S. Wheeler and J. Geddes and Miss McKenney. ‘;Mr Ruscoe expressed the thanks of himself, the teachers and children for the committee’s efforts in making the school picnic the success it undoubtedly was, adding that the 'bulk of the work had fallen to the Parents’ Committee. School Garden Party The question of the holding of the annual High S'chool garden party next engaged the attention of the committee. The date was fixed 1 and all the arrangements made, particulars of which will be advertised later. Arrangements were also made for the annual meeting next month, and it is hoped that parents will interest themselves in both the garden party and the annual meeting. The garden party has always been a particularly enjoyable and successful function, and with the alteration in the day of the week which has been made this year, mothers especially should find it easier to take an afternoon off to attend this function.
