OBSERVED IN PAEROA
SUNSPOTS CLEARLY VISIBLE
SEEN THROUGH SMOKED GLASS The large sunspot, which is causing considerable radio interference, was clearly visible with the aid of smoked glass, without which observation should not be attempted, as the sun was setting in Paeroa on Wednesday evening. The spot appeared toward the lower right-hand rim of the sun.
