MILK FOR AUCKLAND
SUPPLY FROM THE PLAINS TURUA FACTORY’S AID Milk supply for Auckland is again being drawn from the Hauraki Plains and on Tesday the Hauraki Plains Co-operative Dairy Company forwarded their first three truckloads of milk to the city. To-day the demand was greater and four truckloads of milk have been dispatched. Each day in future four truckloads of milk will be sent to Auckland and in fact the whole of the factory’s supply will be sent to the city. ♦ The position in. Auckland regarding milk is somewhat acute and it is thought that supplies will be required from the Hauraki Plains for some considerable time. The morning’s milk is dispatched to Auckland after treament each morning and similarly the evening supply is sent to the city that night. It is possible that other factories will be called upon for supplies of milk if the position does not soon improve.
