SHEEP FAIR IN PAEROA
STEADY COMPETITION GOOD CLEARANCE EFFECTED Messrs G. W. Vercoe. and! Co., report having held their annual sheep fair at Paeroa on Friday last. The full advertised entry came forward and in spite of the adverse weather conditions competition was steady. Practically a total clearance was effected. Quotations: — Forward woolly lambs, 16's to 20s; medium do., 12s 6d to 14& sd; forward shorn lambs, 13 s 10d to 17 s 3d; medium do., Ils to 12s; small do., 8s 9d to 10s 7d. Tvyp and 4-th. wethers, 21& 9d to 24s sd; medium 2-th. ewes, to 225; mixed age ewes, 15s to 17s fid; 5 and 1 6-year ewes, l’3s 6d to 15s; aged l ewes, 8s 6d to 10s. S.D. rams, 4 to 41gns.; aged do., 2 to 3Sgns.
