LARGE ATTENDANCE OF PUBLIC
OUTING IN GLORIOUS WEATHER
, RECORD CATTLE AND HORSE ENTRIES
In the beautiful setting of the Paeroa Domain the Hauraki Agricultural and Pastoral Association staged its Victory Show on Saturday when a record attendance was treated to a very, enjoyable outing. Conditions were idea for the function, the weather being gloriously fine but the temperature cooled by a light wind. Entries in all classes were of a high calibre and records in numbers were established especially in the cattle and horse sections and riding and jumping competitions. Great rate - est was taken in the calf club competition and the comments of the judges in this and in the cattle section were most encouraging. The hunting and jumping events were filled with an abundance of first-class riders and animals and provided a spectacular programme for the large crow o spc tet ° Sideshows and especially the merry-go-round were popular with the younger people while the national dancing c mpetitions were followed with keen interest. The show was a success from every point of view and provided an attraction which ranged high in the South AuckStrict and which would reflect credit upon an association in a much larger town.
