ENJOYABLE EVENING BAY WOMEN’S INSTITUTE JUNIOR CIRCLE TO I?E (FORMED An enjoyable evening was held in the Mercury Bay Hall on October 22 when a number of young ladies were entertained by the members of the Mercury Bay Women’s Institute. The president welcomed the guests and l expressed' the hope that they would form a junior circle which
would 1 be conducted by themselves under the guidance of the Women’s Intitute. The institute song, “Comrades and Friends” was sung by Mrs McKenzie and Mrs Bronlund after which competitions, games and community singing were .enjoyed. Winners of competitions were Mrs H. Simpson and 1 Miss 'H. (Dale. A dainty supper .was served l (by members. On behalf of the guests a vote of thanks for the evening’s entertainment was proposed by Miss Heather Dale and 1 seconded by Miss Mona Brien.
