PAEROA-POKENO LINE

COMPLETING THE LINK STATEMENT BY MINISTER “ There will be no delay in completing the Paeroa-Pokeno line and we are going on with the fob just as soon as the manpower is available,” said the Minister of Wkworks, Mr Semple, in the House of Representatives to-day when the departmental estimates were under discussion. The point was raised by Mr A. S. Sutherland (Opposition—Hauraki), who mentioned that £11,00(1 had been provided in the Estimates. When completed the line would serve a most valuable purpose in carrying large quantities of fertiliser, stock and general goods. He hoped that as soon as manpower was available this job would be completed.
