WEEKLY LUNCHEON

PAEROA ROTARY CLUB EXPERIENCES IN SINGAPORE The weekly luncheon of the Rotary Club of Paeroa was held in the club’s rooms on Wednesday, the president, Mr R. S. Carden, presiding over a fair attendance of members. Guests present were Dr. McDowall of Palmerston North, Mr G. Hedge, of Te Aroha, Mr J. W. .Silcock and Mr G. Bain of Paeroa and Mr Parry Edwards of Singapore. A very interesting address onTiis experience as a prisoner of the Japanese in Singapore for three years and seven months, was given by Mr Edwards. A vote of thanks proposed Mr L. Landman was carried by acclamation.
