WORK STARTED

THAMES ISOLATION WARD EARLY COMPLETION LIKELY Work has been started on the building of an addition to The isolation ward at the Thames Hospital. The contractors are Messrs Lee (Bros., of iPaeroa, and the work, it is expected, will be completed soon after Christmas. The new building’ will accommodate 10 beds and will do much to assist the strain on accommodation which has recently been in evidence in this department of the hospital. As, in the coming years, the board's rebuilding scheme progresses, the present isolation ward will be replaced and the ward now being built will be incorporated with the newer building.
