IMPROVED DRAINAGE

RECONDITIONING OF CANAL SUGGESTION BY CR. NEATE A suggestion that the council ask the Lands Drainage Department to have the Pouarua canal reconditioned, was made by Cr. J. W. Neate, at the September meeting of the Hauraki Plains- County Council. The suggestion was adopted and the clerk, Mr E. A. Mahoney, was instructed' to write as suggested. Cr. Neate pointed out that a good dredging would result in improved drainage on the Plains.
