TABLE TENNIS

CLUB FORMED IN PAEROA

WEEKLY PLAY ARRANGED

A very enjoyable evening was held on Thursday night in the Civic Hall for the purpose of playing the ever popular game, table tennis, and discussing prospects for the formation of a club in Paeroa. While attendance was moderate it was obvious from the enthusiasm of those present and numerous inquiries; received, that -such a club would fill a much felt want in the entertainment side of the social life in Paeroa.

It was decided to make a small charge of 2s 6d. forthe club membership and a nightly charge of Is. per

dub member present. Any Who do not wish to become club members will be cordially welcomed, in which case, admission will be Is 6d. iMr H. ‘O. Walker was elected sec-retary-treasurer. A light supper of tea and biscuits is to be provided and it is- hoped to ■organise a variety of play and perhaps also, play between various clubs in neaiby towns. Blay will be held on each Wednesday from 7.30 p.m. to ,10 p.m. with the exception that when such Wednesday clashes with the Patriotic dance, which is the case once a month, play will be held on the Tuesday evening.
