KITCHEN EVENING

FUNCTION HELD AT TURUA

M-I-SS E. HICKS HONOURED

In honour of her approaching 1 marriage, friends of Miss' E. Hicks, organised' a kitchen evening which was held in the Turua (Buildings recently. The music was supplied by Mesdames E. A. Clark and J. Thrupp, with Mr A. Whitehead at the drums. Extras were played by Colleen, Ron and Gwen. Mr Mr J. Maunder was M.C. The Monte Carlo was won by Miss Gwen <Fox and Mr Brian Clark. Mr Maunder on behalf of those present asked Mr Les l Stone and Miss' Hicks to accept the presents, which filled the table, along with a wallet, with the very best wishes for their future happiness. He said he hoped they would find them useful. Mr Stone replied thanking all for coming along and also for their gifts and good wishes. Musical honours were then, accorded the guests.
