ONE EXCHANGE ONLY
NEEDED ON HAURAKIPLAINS NGATEA FARMERS’ SUPPORT At the annual meeting of the Ngatea branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union held recently it was decided to work for a central telephone exchange for the Hauraki Plains and surrounding district. Mr Schultz said that the time would come when almost every farmer would have a hill run-off and a central exchange would facilitate business, with consequent reduction in rates to people furthest from the exchange. We must look at it from a community point of view the same as we do the roads.
