Light Supper. Admission 6d. FACTS F or F armers These facts are substantiated by your June number of “Straight Furrow” and by your delegate, L. Tye, to the recent Farmers’ Union Conference. Fact I—All members of the Farmers’ Union are now in the Farmers’ Federation inclusive of Auckland Province. Fact 2.—Over £5OO has been paid in by the Auckland office for its 10,5’89 members and this entitles each member to the same ■rights and privileges as they had in the Farmers’ Union. Fact 3.—Representatives of the Farmers’ Union (Auckland Province) have been invited by the Provisional Council to proceed to Wellington to hammer out the rules and composition of the Federation, D.P.A.., Sheep Owners’ Federation and •others will be present. Fact 4.—Dairy Farmers of the Farmers’ Union and members of the D.P.A' will have equal standing in the Dairy Section of the new body. Our past identification will not give any famouritism. This was assured by Mr Marshall, Mr Mulholland and Mr Rushworth. We are going in as individuals not as unions or associtions. Please remember this as farmers’ minds have been confused by statements in the press by public speakers. • Fact s.—Farmers’ Union members are in the Federation —you can stay put—you need not join the D.P.A. to belong to the Dairy Section. You are practically in it. Fact 6.—The branches will be organised when rules have been finalised. These facts are inserted for your protection and assurance against contrary statements. Fact 7. —The advancement of Federation to this stage should cause rivalry and distinction to cease and to commence conciliatory and co-operative methods between all farmers’ . organisations in order to facilitate the object of the completion of this one big Federation.
