Car On Fire Some excitement occurred on the Main iPaeroa-Ngatea highway on Thursday night when a gas producer on a car caught fire. The three men occupants of the car were successful in extinguishing the fire’ after some difficulty and had to call. upon local residents for assistance before they couldi proceed on their way. An overcoat and the clothes of one of the occupants were damaged 'by fire. i. Expensive Storm
Damage estimated by the chief engineer, Mr N. G. McLeod, to have cost the board and its consumers about £IOOQ in the Thames Valley Electric Power Board’s area was caused by the heavy storm of May 28.
