TRIBUTE PAID
LATE MR P. E. BRENAN
THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL
A tribute to the work of the late Mr P. E. Brenan was paid at the last meeting of the Thames County Council, when councillors stood in- silence as a mark of respect to his memory, and decided to send letters of sympathy to his relatives. The chairman, Cr. D. Courtney, said the death of Mr Brenan would •be very much regretted. He was well known and had served on most of the local bodies in the district. His- death would be a distinct loss not only to Paeroa but also to the whole of the Thames Hospital district. Cr. Courtney detailed the wide experience of Mr Brepan in local body capacities, and moved the resolution of sym-
pathy. Cr. E. J. McLoughlin seconded this. He said he had sat with Mr Brenan on the Hospital Board and had found him upright and honest in all his dealings. All the members of the board would very much regret Mr Brenan’s death.
