N-GATEA BRANCH MEETS
MANY PRESENTATIONS MADE
The December meeting of the Ngatea Women’s- Division, was fully attended in spite of the inclement weather. The president, Mrs Jones, provided- a sumptuous sit-down luncheon, a fitting wind-up to a happy, successful year. All present were presented with beautiful shoulder sprays, and throughout the meeting the party atmosphere prevailed. A very nice Christmas cake made by Mrs Jones, was cut by Mrs McClean, a past president, and enjoyed by all. The president, in a happy speech, presented a beautifully-iced Christmas cake to the oldest member, Mrs- -Shaw, who suitably replied. Another very pleasing feature was the presentation by Mrs McClean on behalf of the members, of a cake to Mrs Jones, in honour of the celebration of her 25th. wedding anni-
versary and- Mrs Keyes, in a few wellchosen words, asked Mrs Jones to accept a very pretty posy, with the good wishes of the members. Mrs Jones replied, thanking all for the lovely thought and wished all the compliments of the season, trusting that the New Year would bring peace to all.
