COROMANDEL BUSY
VISITORS TO THE TOWN POPULAR HOLIDAY RESORT A record number of visitors has been in evidence in Coromandel over the holiday period. Many campers were enjoying the beautiful weather, while yachts and boats of all desriptions have been cruising round the coast.
The trades people report a very busy time and record sales have been registered in spite of the limited supplies of some commodities.
The local taxis have been kept going night and day as a result of the lack of benzine for private cars in spite of the full value of the current coupons. Pictures have been shown on several extra nights and the town generally has presented a very prosperous sight.
