DAIRIES IN DEMAND
WEANERS KEENLY SOUGHT
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their fortnightly sale held at Paeroa on Monday there was a medium yarding of cattle. All classes of dairycattle were in keen demand for town supply as also were weaner heifers which were keenly sought after.
Best quality dairy heifers, calved and close to profit, made from £9 IDs to £lO 10s, medium, £7 5s to £8 7s; backward and inferior, £6 to £7. Dairy* cows, calved and close to profit, £7 to £9 10s; others, £5 10s to £6 10s; medium quality beef, from £8 19s to £9 15s; others, £6 to £7 15s. Heavy boners, £4 15s to £5 ss; medium, £4 to £4 12s 6d; light, £3' to £3 10s. Potter bulls, £3 10s to £8 17s 6d. The advertised store lambs made from 11s 6d
to 18s. Prime hoggets, to 30s 3d. Weaner heifer calves, £3' 4s to £4 ss.
