THAMES BOARD’S DECISION

A decision to collaborate with other hoards interested in having an inde-

pendent tuberculosis sanatorium set up in the South Auckland area was made at a meeting of the, Thames Hospital Board on Tuesday. In his report to the board. Dr. E. Gifford, medical superintendent at Thames, supported the need for -i mw sanatorium. "The need is considerable

Reporting on a conference of interested hoards, held to discuss this matter. at which Thames was represented, Mr J. W. Danby, deputy-cairman, said that the demand for admission to the existing North Island sanatoria had increased to such an extent iip't boards could not hope for the early ad mission of patients.
