TROUBLED WITH DUST
STOREKEEPER AT KAIHERE ROAD IN NEED OF SEALING A request that the portion of the Ngatea-Waharoa main highway past his store at Kaihere be sealed, was received from Mr A. G. Davis, at the December meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. “Under modem conditions of health it will be apparent to your members -that the dust raised by passing vehicles is of considerable detriment to the food I have on sale for the re--quirements of your ratepayers in my .district,” wrote Mr Davis. “It has- been pleasing to note that the policy of your county in the past has been the sealing of the township i under your care and I respectfully solicit consideration for Kaihere,” concluded the letter.
Cr. F. Pinchess said he though*; something should be done and the chairman, Mr C. W. Parfitt, agreed with him.
It was agreed to attend 1 to. this when ' considering the estimates next year. Cr. J. F. Mayn asked, th at P atetonga be given the same treatment and thio was agreed to.
