“Ridin’ On A Rainbow,” starring Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, Mary Lee, will show Friday only at the Regent Theatre.' Here is the newest and greatest of all the Autry thrill and melody hits.
“Melody And Moonlight,” starring Johnny Downs, Barbara Allen, Jane Frazee, Mary Lee, Frank Jenks, will also show Friday only at the Regent Theatre.
A joyous musical comedy show. Swing to hit tunes: “Tahiti Honey,” “Top O’ The Morning,” “Rooftop Serenade,” “I Close My Eyes,” and “Melody and Moonlight.” Mercurial Johnny Downs and a new and attractive ingenue, Jane Frazee, have good broad comedy support in the nitwit impersonator, Barbara Allen (Vera Vague) and the pop-eyed Jerry Colonna, whose “merry-go-round” scene is an example of the script’s' ingenuity and humour. TO-NIGHT AND THURSDAY “GONE WITH THE WIND ” “’Gone With The Wind,” will show to-night and Thursday at the Regent Theatre.
