lias also been discussed by the British Overseas Airways Corporation with representatives of various manufacturing and trading associations. The Times, London, states that results so far indicate that Britain's business concerns intend to use air services extensively both for representatives travelling overseas and for gmds traffic. Coromandel Pig Menace
Replying on the scheme for the <lc struction of wild pigs in the Goromandel Peninsula, Mr J. L. Limas, clerk of the Coromandel Umjity Council, advised the Thames District Council of Primary Production recently that his council had received an offpr from the Department of Agriculture to assist in this matter. The individual councillors were to contact settlers concerned and arrive at some workable scheme and report back to the council, so that it could officially get the sanction of the department. The ■ next meeting of the council would be held on December 14, when this matter would again be brought up.
