November is a fortunate month in which to hold a function of this kind, as the spring flowers are at their best and this helps in no small measure to the decorations. Flowers too come into their own at the exchange of good wishes ■between Institutes and individuals when it is the pleasant custom to “Say it with flowers.” and this l was done in lavish d’ashion, when so many of those present received some form of flowers as token of esteem from the givers.

Following the singing of the National Anthem and the Institute Song, Mrs Harley Wallis, president of the institute welcomed all those present in a graceful speech. She expressed the pleasure felt b*y members to have as guests, not only.
