WHO IS GOD?

A MUCH SOUGHT-AFTER TRUTH REVELATION THROUGH CHRIST “That I may kriow Him!” (Phillipians 3.10). In these words the Apostle Paul has. concentrated all the passionate longing of his soul. To' know God in * His fullest revelation was his continual desire. The first words he spoke as he heard the voice of Jesus on the Damascus road were, “Who art Thou, Lord?” (Acts 9.5). To-day in the midst of turmoil, falsehood and strife, there are many, who, perhaps yourself included, are conscious of a growing longing deep' within the heart, to know the true God. ' Varying conceptions of Him have already been set up.in the minds and imaginations of many, but as with the Athenians of old, He ever remains to the unenlightened mind, “The Unknown Godt”

It is, however, a blessed fact that God has not left us without a revelation concerning Himself. In Jesus Christ, God’s Own Son, we have a full and complete manifestation of the Father and it is Jesus Himself 'Who declares thdt “God is a Spirit and' they that worship. Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4.24). In order for man to* be able to worship a spiritual God, his own. spiritual nature must be developed. Jesus brought out this truth to one, Nicodemus, when stressing the need for spiritual regeneration. “That, which is born of the flesh,” He said, “is flesh, and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.” (John 3.6.) “Ye must be born again.” Jesus further states that God must be worshipped in truth and with the voice of authority declares, “I am the truth.” 0 that the world would' realise that a right and complete understanding of God can only be obtained' through- a knowledge of Jesus Christ, the peerless Son of God! “If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also.” (John 14.7). Reader, if you would seek to know God, turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, “in Whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwelleth.”
