PROPOSALS OF THE COUNCIL

NEGOTIATIONS WITH OWNERS

Cr. A. M. Winstone reported to the November meeting of the Coromandel County Council that he had interviewed Messrs Fostei- Bros, in regard to the quarry on the top of the ‘Kereta Hill, and he recommended that the council negotiate to purchase an area as suggested by the owners.

After discussion it was proposed by the chairman, Cr. E. Deeble, and seconded by Cr. A. M. Winstone, “That a preliminary survey be made, to define area and then negotiations be entered into with . Messrs Foster.”— Carried.
