PARENTS’ DAY

FUNCTION AT HIKUTAIA SCHOOL

MEETING OF HOUSEHOLDERS

A large and enthusiastic number of parents and householders met at th® Hikutaia School on Thursday evening last, and decided that Friday, next, the day set aside for the calf club judging, should fye made a parents day also. The headmaster, Mr B. A. Kelly, outlined' the programme and many helpers were easily found.

Permission was also given to the picnic committee to hold a bring and buy stall on the same day in aid of funds for the school picnic.

It was also decided to hold a fancy dress 'ball and concert for the children during November. The following ladies’ committee was set up to assist at this function, Mesdames Cedric Murdock, A. McCollum, L. Martin, H. Qp’nks, IX Burnett, A. W, Alley, E. Bax, A. Bailey, with power to add.
