KEENLY SOUGHT
STOCK SUITABLE FOR GRAZING
FULL YARDS AT WAITAKARURU
Messrs Alfred Buckland and Son Ltd., report that a full yarding was penned at their Waitakaruru sale on Friday with all classes of stock offering. The dairy cattle were of medium quality, with competition dull except for a few choice Jersey heifers.
Young stock sold at current, rates, and any suitable for grazing was keenly sought. Good type herd bulls sold freely, but the majority of the yarding were inferior sorts. • They quote:—
Choice Jersey heifers, close to profit, to £l4; choice Jersey cows, close, to profit, to £l3; average quality cows and heifers, at profit, £8 10s to £11; backward, £6 10s to £8; yearling Jersey Heifers, £4 5s to £6 2s 6d; heavy * prime Jersey heifer beef, £8 10s to £lO 10s; good quality cow beef, £8 to £9 10s; forward conditioned empty cows, £6 10s to £7 10s; boners, £2 lOffl to £6 10s; herd bulls, £lO to £l® .ss; yearling bulls, £3 to £7. ■
