The Glen View Stud was founded in 1925 and every animat catalogued is descended from one foundation matron, Glen Iris Queen Bess, an eight-gallon cow combining the blood of two proven imported sires, Woodcrest Jo and King Segis Wild Rose Homestead. Only specially selected sires have been used and the two present herd sires, Dalefield Netherland Lord (his dam C.O.R. 600 lb. fat) and Dalefield Wayne Masterpiece (his dam v.h.c., c.o.r. 716 lb. fat) combined the blood of the Derby winner Coldstream Pontiac Wayne, c.0.r., 714 lb. fat at 2yrs., with that of Bainfield Topsy 10th., c.o.r. 863 lb. fat as junior 4-yrs. Every female over three years of age in the stud has been officially tested and have records up to 516 lb. fat as 2-yr.-olds under C.O.R. test and records over 4001 b. fat. under Govt. O.H. Test.
