NO TROUBLE
PLAINS WATER SUPPLY REPORT OF SUPERVISOR POUARUA CANAL ROAD WORK That there had been no trouble on any of the big mains of the Hauraki Plains water supplies during the month was reported by the Water Works Supervisor, Mr J. Bradford, to the August meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council. The report read as under:— “West Water Supply.—On Pouarua Canal road some 7’oi chains of trenching has .been done and a- start has been made with the .cleaning of the main; this will be completed in a few days. “East Water Supply.—One small leak on the 4in. main at Kopuarahi was repaired. All valve- signs and cover boxes have been cleared of growth. “The release valves on Huirau road have been checked over and tested. The supply is still being fed through the pressure tank.
“A number of service connections on both sides were repaired, frost causing most of the trouble.”
