(PAEROA CROQUET CLUB FINAL GAMES ON DOMAIN Under ideal weather conditions the 1943-44 season of the jPaeroa Ladies’ Croquet ’Club was brought to a close with an enjoyable afternoon on Tuesday, May 2. The president, Mrs Barclay and vice-presidents, Mesdames Fathers and Spinks, were hostesses for the afternoon and also donated the prizes for the various competitions. Progressive croquet was played until afternoon tea time and the A grade was won by Mrs W. Wylde, the B grade by Mrs (McKenna and C grade by Mrs iMdMullen while the consolation prize for the afternoon went to Mrs iMilne. Prizes won. during the season were presented Iby the president to the following:— Lamb silver vase.—Mrs E. P. Fathers. A grade handicap.—Mrs W. Johnstone. B grade handicap.—'Mrs W. Wylde. Carmine button. — 1 Intermediate grade: Mrs W. Johnstone. B grade: Mrs W. Wylde. The lawns have been, in perfect order during the season.
