FAREWELL AFTERNOON

MRS N. ALEXANDER HONOURED MRS HOLLINSHEAD ENTERTAINS A very pleasant afternoon was spent recently at the residence of Mrs M. A. Hollinshead, when members of the Paeroa Women’s Institute met to farewell Mrs N. Alexander, on the eve of her departure for Wellington. Following an enjoyable afternoon tea, the president, Mrs E. M. Hill, presented the guest of honour with a gift and bouquet of choice chrysanthemums. iShe voiced the regret of all on losing a good, able and helpful member of eleven years’ standing. In replying, Mrs Alexander thanked the members for their good wishes for her future welfare and 'knew that the institute would carry on their good work foi- home and country.
