BEING REMOVED
ROAD BLOCKS IN GORGE WORK COMMENCED THIS WEEK The Public Works Department is at present removing the road block just beyond the tunnel in the Karangahake Gorge. The work was commenced on Monday and is proving a hard job but it is expected to complete the task by to-d'ay. Care had to be exercised by the men engaged on the work to avoid damaging the parapet or bringing down the cliff.
