TRANSPORT LICENCES
AUTHORITY SITS IN PAEROA GOODS SERVICES & PASSENGERS A sitting of the No. 1 Transport Licensing Authority was held in the Paeroa Courthouse on Wednesday afternoon, Mr E. J. (Phelan presiding. The\ application of E. Dally, of Matatoki to operate an ancillary service over a 20-mile radius fropi the Paeroa Post Office was granted. O. L. Cox of Wharepoa, was granted a licence to operate an ancillary service in an area within a 15-mile radius of the Ngatea Post Office. F. G. Gray, of Turua. was granted a licence to operate an ancillary service in an area within a 15-mile radius from the Turua Post Office. J. McCormick, of Matatoki, was granted a licence to operate an ancillary service within a radius of 20 miles from the Ngatea Post Office. Permission was granted to S. Bonnici of Waihi to alter his’ timetable for the bus running to the Waihi Beach so that the bus leaves Waihi at 4.35 p.m. instead of 5.15 p.m. Decision was reserved in the application of Titchener and Justin of Waihi to transfer their licence to the Te Aroha-Thames Valley Co-opera-tive Dairy Company. F. C. Beach of Waihi was granted permission to operate in the Hauraki Plains, Piako and Tauranga counties. A. J. Wright was granted permission to transfer his licence to G. (H. Sarjant, of Netherton. The application of E. C. 'Durman, of Kerepeehi, to reinstate a taxicab licence was granted to operate within a radius of 20 miles of Kerepeehi.
