SHEEP POISONED

ATE RHODODENDRON LEAVES MORRINSVILLE FARMER’S LOSS A Morrinsville farmer last week lost 12 sheep and has many others of his, flock suffering' from poisoning through the animals eating the leaves of a rhododendron tree. The farmer said he had cut .the rhododendron out of his garden and thrown it over the hedge. He later saw the sheep nibbling the leaves, but he did 1 not know then, and doubts whether many farmers are aware, that the rhododendron is a poisonous shrub.
