SILLICK—CRANCH The engagement is announced between Alexa Fay, third daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Cranch, Te Arona road, Paeroa, and Joseph Cecil, only son of Mr and Mrs J. Sillick, Carroll street, Te Kuiti. MOORE—BROWN The engagement* is announced, and the marriage will shortly take place, between Second-Lieutenant Severs Earnest Moore, only son of Mr 'and the late Mrs E. W. Moore, Paeroa, and Gwynnth Mary, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. W. Brown, Mount Albert, Auckland.
Lacking marble slab or pastry board when making pastry or biscuits, use the enamel top of the gas-stove. It is an excellent substitute, large enough to work on, is cool and very easily cleaned when the job is finis ed.
