Mr and Mrs Banks have returned to Te Kana after holidaying in Whitianga.
Mrs G. Ralph, of Mercury Bay, is holidaying in Te Kana. Mrs Olsen, of Te Awamutu, is the guest of Mr and Mrs L. Armstrong, Whitianga. Mr J. Armstrong, of Auckland, is also the guest of the Armstrongs, Whitianga. Mrs Steadman, of Auckland, is spending a time in the Bay.
Mr Stanley Parkinson, of Auckland, Mr Baden Powell, of the Auckland Museum, and Captain DeSopo and Captain Strayer, of the U.S. Medical Unit, were the guests of Mrs R. A. Foreman, Moehau, and Mrs R. Smith, Whitianga, while on their recent tour of the Peninsula.
Mr David Gaskin, of Takapuna, is the guest of Mrs D. Close, Whitianga.
Mr and Mrs R. Brown, of Henderson, Auckland, have taken up residence in the Bay. Private H. McKenzie is home on leave in Whitianga.
' Corporal A. G. Davies, of Coromandel, has been awarded the Military Medal fqr gallantry while serving in the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force in the Middle East.
