PAEROA COMMITTEE MEETS
FUNDS FOR A NEW FENCE
The monthly meeting of the Paeroa District High School Committee was held in the Primary Building op Monday, the chairman, Mr C. C. Webb, presiding. Others present were Mrs S. Wheeler, Messrs .H. Follas, S. Oliver, R. L. Darley, the treasurer, Mr J. Walmsley, the secretary, Mr S. Wheeler, and the headmaster, Mr A. E. Day. Leave of absence was granted Messrs F. Thorp and W. Morrison. The Auckland Education Board wrote authorising the expenditure of £32 for the erection of a fence in Nahum street.
Authority to secure a quotation for the concreting of paths at the Second-
ary Department was received from the Auckland Education Board. Accounts totalling £l7 8s Od were passed for payment. The headmaster. Mr Day, reported as follows: — "The respective rolls are 449 and 89, the corresponding averages being 389 and 85. "Miss Hobson, relieving teacher, completed her duties on Friday. Miss McKenzie, successor to Miss Noble, commenced this morning. It was agreed to grant permission to Mr H. M. Shaw to top the trees m the school paddock in Lewis street Mrs 3. Wheeler and Mr W. Morrison were appointed the next vfsitIn£ committee.
