RACES AT TE RAPA

— WAIKATO RACING CLUB ACCEPTANCES FOR SATURDAY The Waikato Racing Club received very good acceptances for its summer meeting at Te Rapa on Saturday, February 20, and it will be seen that the top-weight in the Storey Memorial Handicap, Lou Rosa, has had his engagement continued as also has Gay Rosette which declined her engagement at the Rotorua Clubs’ meeting at Matamata last Saturday. The sprint event has material for a good contest. Only one event the Whatawhata Hack Handicap, of seven furlongs, seems likely to be divided, for there are 36 acceptors. There are 26 acceptors for the Hamilton Hack Cup, of 11 miles, and these include practically all the best hacks in the province.

Horses which may claim support may include:— Frankton Hurdles, of 11 miles. — Acreman, Hunto, National Chief. Juvenile Handicap, of six furlongs. —Gaymeer, Subadar, Meermint. Storey Memorial, of Is miles. — Beau Leon, Volifox, Sea Law. Hamilton Hack Cup, of 11 miles. — Royal Merit, Merry May, Ringlight. Puketaha Handicap, of one mile.— Representative, Nizam, Kraal. President’s Handicap, of seven furlongs.—Cambria, Lady ,Pay, Black Thread.

Beerescourt Hack, of one mile. — Lord Defoe, Kinvara, Gunman. Whatawhata Hack, of seven furlongs.—First division: Peter Gregor, Century, St. Bill. Second division: Frustration, Llandine, All Glory. The list is as follows: —
