WELCOME EXTENDED

NEW COUNTY COUNCILLOR , REMARKS BY CHAIRMAN “On behalf of this council I have much pleasure in extending to our colleague, Mr E. G. Clark, a hearty welcome to a seat at this council table,” said the chairman, Mr D. at the monthly meeting of the Thames County Council. “I think,” continued Mr Courtney, “that the council’s choice has been a happy one, for Mr Clark has an unlimited knowledge of the whole county having lived in it all his life. His familiarity with the county council and its workings will be of a great value to the ratepayers.” Mr Clark suitably replied, saying he hoped he would justify the confidence placed in him by the council.
